ETHOS: Do the Right Thing Series

The ETHOS: Doing the Right Thing courses at Cemex University are designed to integrate ethics and compliance into the daily work of employees. These courses are part of Cemex's institutional program, ETHOS, which aims to embrace top-tier standards of corporate behavior and promote actions that strengthen a culture of integrity.

The courses guide all employees to do the right thing and reflect the value of acting with integrity in every action and decision they make. They raise awareness about the personal and professional implications of misconduct and fostering a culture where everyone adheres, reports, and inspires. These courses also include realistic scenarios that help employees understand and navigate ethical dilemmas they might face in their roles. They are designed to be engaging and interactive, ensuring that employees can apply what they learn to real-world situations.

Best Learning Program Supporting a Change Transformation Business Strategy

Carbon Neutrality Essentials

Cemex pledged to become a Net Zero CO₂ emissions company by the year 2050, and many initiatives have been introduced ever since to work towards this goal. When we first introduced this goal to all employees, there were many aspects unknown about our CO₂ emissions, why it was harmful to our environment and what employees could do to be mindful of our own impact in the environment. Cemex University introduced this course in late 2022, and it quickly became the most widely completed course inside Cemex. This learning experience was fundamental in helping employees understand Cemex’s sustainability goals and the strategy to achieve such goals.

This initiative was recognized by Brandon Hall in 2023 with a Gold Award as Best Learning Program supporting a Change Transformation Business Strategy.

Cemex University was created to support employee skill development during this cultural evolution and to help the business become a digitally enabled learning organization.
